Privacy policy

W3A YouTube Analytics is an internal Web3 Academy reporting tool. It uses YouTube API Services and Google OAuth only with a channel owner's authorization. Contact us at support@web3academy.pro with any privacy question or deletion request.

Data we access

For an authorized channel, the tool reads channel and video IDs, titles, publication dates, durations, and public view, like, and comment counts through the YouTube Data API. Through the YouTube Analytics API, it reads daily video views, estimated watch time, average view duration and percentage, subscriber gains and losses, and traffic source categories. It stores the channel owner's OAuth refresh token to renew this read-only access. It does not request an owner's Google password, individual viewers' identities, or their viewing histories.

How we use and store the data

We use these reports to review performance of our own channels. YouTube API data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. OAuth credentials are stored in protected Railway service variables. Public video metadata is refreshed hourly; metadata for videos no longer available in the catalog is removed after 29 days without a refresh. We retain historical Analytics reports while needed for this purpose and while the owner's authorization remains active. We recheck that authorization during the hourly collection cycle.

Separately, W3A's own CRM records may use a video ID from a campaign's utm_content to report contacts and deal amounts. These CRM figures are identified as W3A data; YouTube views or watch time are not used to calculate them. We do not use YouTube API data for advertising or sell it.

Who can see the data

Private reports are available only to the authorizing channel owner and W3A staff expressly authorized by that owner through invited accounts. Railway provides the hosting infrastructure and may process ordinary request logs for reliability. Google processes authorization and YouTube API requests under the Google Privacy Policy. This public information site has no advertising, forms, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies; the private dashboard uses essential sign-in cookies.

Your control and deletion

To request removal of stored YouTube API data or withdrawal of access, email support@web3academy.pro. Both channels use the same owner's Google authorization, so withdrawing it stops collection for both channels. We will revoke the application's tokens and delete their stored YouTube API data as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. We will also remove older backup snapshots containing that data. W3A's independent CRM campaign records, including UTM video IDs, are governed separately. Deletion from this tool does not delete any data on YouTube. The owner can also revoke access in Google security settings; please notify us so that we can remove the stored data promptly.
